How to play
First you place your nine pieces, one at a time, on the empty points. Then you move one piece at a time along a line to an empty neighboring point. If you get three pieces in a row along a line, that is a mill – then you take one of your opponent's pieces, but not one that is in a mill if there are others. If you have only three pieces left, you may move to any point. The player who has two pieces left or cannot move has lost.
What you practice
- StrategyThe crossings in the middle are worth the most.
- Think aheadBuild two mills at once.
- PatternWatch when the opponent has two in a row.
- HistoryMills were already played by the Vikings.
